Machine and Plant Operator

Fields of Activity:
The tasks include the rigging and refitting of machines, operating of a machine or plant as well as their maintenance.

Training Content:
- Selecting and using operating supplies taking into account safety regulations
- Applying technical documents and fundamental terms of standardization, preparing drawings, using production-specific data, documenting work results
- Selecting test methods and equipment depending on purpose of use, conducting tests taking into account specifications and tolerances, documenting and evaluating test results, initiating corrective action  
- Applying industry-specific manufacturing techniques 
- Transporting and storing materials and operating supplies as well as products, collecting, separating and storing recycling material
- Checking and maintaining tools, machines and plants according to specifications

Manufacturing parts, in particular by joining, chipping and forming, assembling and disassembling components according to technical documents
- Setting up and refitting production lines and facilities according to specifications, starting up machines and plants taking into accoung safety regulations  

Vocational School:
Classes during training in vocational school
First year: 3 days per week
Second year: 1.5 days per week

Wide range of further education courses for apprentices and employees
