Plans for further investments

Bürkert: Construction plans in Gerabronn and Ingelfingen.

By Heribert Lohr

The company for fluid control will increase turnover to more than 300 million Euros this year.

"The order situation is extremely good", CEO Heribert Rohrbeck recently announced on the record. In this context, huge successes on the market have also been generated for the 1,800 Bürkert employees (1,100 in Germany) by the new Systemhaus facilities.

In Addition to the headquarters in Ingelfingen, such centers can be found in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as in Suzhou, China. Drawing from the company's modular component kit, Bürkert employees put together customized systems in each Systemhaus. Engineers, tool makers, material specialists, quality experts and technicians work together closely to provide customers worldwide with solutions that will enable the fluid technology experts to stand up to the competition in the mid-to-long term.

Heribert Rohrbeck: "Our goal is to offer added value to our customer, which also serves the purpose of getting Bürkert through times of economic depression. To be able to properly meet the growing demand, production capacities will be expanded. Since production is "bursting at the seams", Bürkert prepares to extend injection molding in Ingelfingen. Gerabronn also plans to expand the factory. Whether or not new halls will be added there remains to be shown after Bürkert spin-off BDG has made room due to the company's planned relocation to Amrichshausen. In any case the company intends to "invest in an intelligent production with a high automation level". Heribert Rohrbeck: "Both components and systems have to designed in a way to not make it worth producing the thing in China."
