Fields of Activity:
The mechatronics engineer is an expert in the interface sector of mechanics and electronics. Through his multi-subject training he can be employed in many areas for example as a:
- Servicing and maintenance expert
- Assembly engineer at customer sites
- Group member in manufacturing cells
- Assembly expert in complex assemblies

Training Content:
- Principles of metal work (testing, designing, marking, manual and mechanical
  metal cutting, separation and reforming, joining)
- Installation of electric assembly groups and components
- Measuring and testing of electrical sizes
- Installation and testing of hardware and software components
- Construction and testing of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
- Programming, testing, setting, commissioning, operation and maintenance of
  mechatronic systems

Vocational College:
Training-supportive teaching 1 1/2 days per week

Intermediate Examination:
At the end of the 3rd training half-year, the theoretical knowledge is tested through programmed tasks and the practical skills are tested through the autonomous production of a component within a given time limit.

Final Examination: :
Theoretical knowledge test in the studied subjects, skills test in front of an examination committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce consisting of a job order and an associated technical discussion.
